August 6                                 Emergency Card Drop Off                           4:00-6:00

August 12                               First Day of School                                      All Students

August 26                              Back to School Night                                    6:30PM “Ottertorium”

The office will mail out packets on July 27 to each student, with emergency cards, supply lists, RHD calendars and bell schedules.

Please complete the emergency card and return it with your child on the first day of school or take the opportunity to visit Robert Down on August 6th between 4:00pm - 6:00p.m.

If you return the emergency card on the 6th you will have the opportunity to learn your student’s classroom assignment.  Early classroom placement will only be given out during the drop-off time listed above, no exceptions.   We ask that families who learn classroom assignments early refrain from visiting their new classroom or teacher, as our staff will be very busy preparing for the start of school.

Please keep in mind that in order for your student to attend class on the first day of school, a valid emergency card and other registration paperwork must be completed.  Students who do not have a completed emergency card on file the first day of school will be asked to wait in the office, until their parent or guardian can be reached and return with this very important paperwork.  The emergency card is a vital resource in contacting you in the case of an emergency.

If you are unable to bring your emergency card to Robert Down as listed above, don’t worry we will still post classroom assignments on the front doors of RHD at 4:30p.m. on August 11.

Again, early classroom assignments will only be given as indicated above.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have moved you will need to provide the office with a new proof of residency, which must be the first two pages of your PG&E, water, or cable bill.  Telephone and cellular bills are not accepted.

Shared residency requests must be on file and approved by the District Office before your child can attend Pacific Grove Unified Schools each school year.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO PGUSD AND REGISTERED WITH A LEASE AS YOUR PROOF OF RESIDENCY, please remember that you must bring the office an updated proof of residency as listed in the above paragraph within 30 days of registration.
