Safety Alert 5/7/2008
|
May 7, 2008 Dear Parents and Staff, This is a student safety community alert. The Forest Grove administration was informed this morning about a suspicious individual parked in a car on Congress Avenue near Mission Linen Company last Friday afternoon. The information provided to us describes a male in his 30's, white in complexion, with short, dark brown hair, and wearing glasses. He was parked on the wrong side of the street, against traffic, in a tan, four door sedan. As a student walked past the car, the individual offered that student a ride. The Pacific Grove Police department has already been informed and has staff working on this case. The safety of all children is of paramount importance. We are asking all of you to remain vigilant. We also want to encourage you to remind your children about personal safety, to never accept any offers from strangers. We especially want our students to know that they should always report suspicious strangers to an adult they trust as soon as possible. If you see or hear of any suspicious activity that you believe may be harmful to our students, please inform your child’s principal or other staff member immediately. You may also call the District Office at 831-646-6520. If the situation is an emergency, please call 911 immediately and report the activity to law enforcement officers. Together we make a difference for our children! Sincerely,
Dr. Ralph Gómez Porras, Superintendent |
