Welcome to Friends of Parents’ Place Friends of Parents’
Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose sole
mission is to support and promote the Parents’ Place program through
financial contributions and volunteerism. The Parents'
Place program is an award-winning series of adult education classes
offered by Pacific Grove Adult Education, part of the Parents’ Place To provide parents
with information needed to nurture their children in a positive, healthy, and
loving environment; To offer an atmosphere
of support and comfort which encourages the building of a community of
parent-to-parent relationships; To honor and respect
family in all of its forms; To promote a sound educational curriculum that
increases parents’ confidence and allows for diversity in learning modes. For more information on Parents’ Place, please

Current Projects
Funds raised by Friends of Parents’ Place have made some major improvements possible at Parents’ Place, including hot water heater installation, window replacement, and new carpet. Friends also provides funds for new toys and books, a music program, and specialized teacher training, such as infant massage.
Friends has many projects planned to improve and enhance Parents’ Place, including:
the Roots & Wings Garden Project sponsorship of an annual speaker series expansion of the library and creation of an online library catalog database expansion of the music enrichment program Volunteer Opportunities Parents' Place would not be the place it is
without the help and commitment of all of the wonderful families that attend
its programs. Friends of Parents' Place has many projects, and
we welcome volunteers of all kinds, for one-time jobs or ongoing tasks. Volunteer skills needed include: office support grant writing and fundraising public relations construction, painting, and landscaping art and graphic design computer skills childcare for project work days All are welcome to come help out in any way they
