Measure D Status Report 9-22-06

At the meeting of 9-21-06 the PGUSD Board authorized the district staff to proceed with the following projects:

1. Window replacement at Robert Down Elementary school, Pacific Grove Middle School and Pacific Grove High School.(est.const.cost $1.95 mill.)
2. Exterior painting at Robert Down and P.G.Middle School (est.const.cost $165,000).
3. Floor replacement at P.G. Middle School. Phase II (est.const. cost $300,000)

Plans and specifications previously prepared by HBFL architects will be updated as needed and placed out to bid within the next 2-3 months. The exterior painting bid process will follow the completion of the window installation.

In addition the Board authorized staff to begin the architect(s) selection process for the following projects:

P.G.Middle School Music room construction project.(est.const.cost $375,000)
P.G.Middle School Auditorium (Performing Art Center) improvement project (to include addressing restrooms, lighting, sound and ventilation systems.) (est.const.cost $750,000)
P.G.High School Stadium reconstruction project. (est.const.cost $5 mill.)

A Request for Proposals will be available for interested architectural firms within the next 2-3 weeks.


Action on additional projects or expenditures was deferred pending further Board discussions.
