The Board of Education of the Pacific Grove Unified School District held a special meeting on May 30, 2002 at the Pacific Grove Unified School District Office.

I. OPENING BUSINESS

A. Call to order: 6:00 pm

II. RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION: 6:35 pm

B. Adoption of Agenda: MOTION (Hall/Bray) to adopt agenda. Motion CARRIED 5 to 0.

C. Report Action Taken in Closed Session: Board voted 5to 0 to settle pending litigation regarding student SN02-00788

III. PUBLIC COMMENT: None.

IV. CONSENT: MOTION (Bray/Shammas) to adopt agenda.

A. Approval of Contract Services – Contract for Inclusion Aides
B. Certificated Personnel Assignment Order No. 18
C. Classified Personnel Assignment Order No.17

Motion CARRIED 5 to 0.

V. PUBLIC HEARING:

A. PGTA Contract Proposal 2002-2004
Public Hearing was opened for comment. There was no comment from the public and the public hearing was declared closed.

B. Management Employee Contract Proposal 2002-2004
Public Hearing was opened for comment. There was no comment from the public and the public hearing was declared closed.

C. Confidential Employee Contract Proposal 2002-2004
Public Hearing was opened for comment. There was no comment from the public and the public hearing was declared closed.

VI. ACTION ITEMS:

A. Award of the High School Phase II Roofing Contract: MOTION (Page/Schramm) to award the contract to California Roofing and authorize signing by Superintendent or designee of all required contract documents and change orders, not to exceed 10% of the original contract. Motion CARRIED 5 to 0.

B. Approval of PGTA Contract Proposal for 2002/2004: MOTION (Hall/Bray) to approve contract as proposed. Motion CARRIED 5 to 0.

C. Approval of Management Compensation Agreement for 2002/2004: MOTION (Shammas/Hall) to approve contract as proposed. Motion CARRIED 5 to 0.

D. Approval of Confidential Compensation Agreement for 2002/2004: MOTION (Shammas/Bray) to approve contract as proposed. Motion CARRIED 5 to 0.
