Minutes of the Meeting of March 9, 2000

The Board of Education of the Pacific Grove Unified School District held a meeting on March 9, 2000 in the District Office Conference Room.

1. Call to Order: 5:34 pm

2. Roll Call: Members present: Debi Page
Beth Shammas
Jessie Bray
David Campbell (arrived at 5:40 pm)

Member absent: Rod Herndon

Administrator Present: Jack Marchi, Superintendent

3. Identify Closed Session Topics:
a. Public Employee Employment Title: Release/Dismissal
b. Pending Litigation

4. Public Comment Regarding Closed Session Items: None.

5. CLOSED SESSION: The Board recessed into closed session 5:36 pm.

(Board Member Rod Herndon arrived at 6:00 pm)

B. OPEN SESSION: At 6:00 pm the Board reconvened into open session.

1. Pledge of Allegiance: recited.

2. Adoption of Agenda: MOTION (Shammas/Bray) to adopt the agenda as presented. Motion CARRIED 5 to 0.

3. Report Action Taken in Closed Session: Reported out that an administrator was reassigned to a teaching position by a vote of 4 to 0 with 1 absent.

C. INDIVIDUALS DESIRING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD: None.

D. ACTION:
Approval Resolution No. 641 Non-Reelection of Certain Probationary Certificated Employees. MOTION (Bray/Herndon); Motion CARRIED 5 to 0.
