Cooked Playdough
1 cup flour                    1 cup water (add vanilla or other scent)
1/2 cup salt                   1 tablespoon oil
2 teas cream of tartar    1 teasp food coloring(cake decorating)
                                     Scent: essential oils like lavender
Combine dry ingredients in a sauce pan. Mix liquids and gradually stir them into dry ingredients. When smooth, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until a ball forms. Remove from heat and knead until smooth. Store in an air tight container.

Coloring Pasta Shapes

Mix 4 or more tablespoons of RUBBING ALCOHOL  with several drops of FOOD COLORING in a bowl.  Add a bag of macaroni, twists or whatever shape you wish.  Stir until covered and dry on paper toweling.  Pasta will separate easily when dry.

 

Craft Clay

1 Cup cornstarch

2 cups baking soda (one 1 lb box)

1 1/4 cups water

Combine cornstarch and baking soda in a pan.  Add water gradually, stirring until smooth.  Place mixture over medium heat and cook until thick and dough like.  Turn mixture onto pastry board and knead well.  Cover with damp cloth or keep in plastic bag.  This is good for plaques or ornaments that can be painted when dry.

 

Gallon Of Bubbles

2 Cups of Joy detergent

6 cups of water

3/4 cup White Karo Corn Syrup

Ideal for blowing large-odd sized bubbles:  Use straws, short and small straws taped together to form flat shapes.  Use plastic six-pack tops; funnels and other fun shapes
