Joint Communiqué 11/13/2006

The parties met on November 3, 2006. The topics included:
Report back on standards for compensation,
2) Stipends,
3) Evaluation,
4) Retirement,
5) Work day.

The parties clarified a standard that had been developed at a prior meeting and agreed to collect financial data regarding the Heath and Welfare Benefit premiums. On stipends the parties explored options and agreed to gather information from regional districts. The parties worked through several issues in Evaluation and agreed to bring back possible contract language at the next meeting.

The parties began discussion of retirement incentives and agreed to survey members to determine potential interests. The parties provided background information to issues that have arisen during the year concerning the work day.

The next meeting is November 9th. The agenda items are: stipends, evaluation, workday, health & welfare benefits data and job sharing.
