This On-line Policy project uses a FileMaker Pro database from FileMaker as the main storage device for the policy text. Each policy, regulation, or exhibit is a separate record.
The web pages use FileMaker's built-in Custom Web Publishing tools to display records in web page "templates" following a search request or direct link. This allows the web pages to display current information when the database itself is updated. This reduces or eliminates the need to re-design the web pages themselves.
The policy text material and references were "cut-and-pasted" from the original MS Word policy documents into the database fields once the web page templates were designed.
There will be some typographical errors to be corrected as we review the material. The policies are intact and should reflect a good copy of the official documents, which are at the District Office and at each school site. As policy additions and updates are adopted by the Board, we will make the necessary changes as soon as possible. The official printed copy remains the legal document for the district.
