All Licensed Contractors are Invited to Request Inclusion on the PGUSD Bidders List

Notice is hereby given that the Pacific Grove Unified School District (PGUSD) has elected to participate in the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA).  Public projects, as defined by this Act and in accordance with the limits listed in Section 22032 of the Public Contract Code, will be let to contract by informal procedures as set forth in Section 22032-22045 of the Public Contract Code.  All licensed contractors are invited to submit the name of their firm to the PGUSD for inclusion in the District's list of qualified bidders for the subsequent calendar year.
 
SUBMITTAL OF BIDDERS LIST

All Contractors are to be in full compliance with the current Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) requirements found in Labor Code Section 1725.5 and 1773.3. All Contractors and subcontractors who bid or work on public works projects must register with the DIR at https://www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/Contractor-Registration.html.
 
Interested Contractors are required to submit the following information: 

  • The name and complete address, including zip code, to which a Notice to Contractors or Proposal should be mailed. 
  • The telephone, fax number, and e-mail address at which the Contractor may be reached.  
  • The Class of the Contractor’s License(s) held and California State License Board License number (CSLB#).
  • The type(s) of work in which the Contractor is interested and currently licensed to perform, such as, but not limited to, General Engineering, General Building, or Specialty Contracting such as, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Earthwork, Pipelines, Floor Coverings, Carpentry, Concrete, Demolition, Excavation, Landscaping, Masonry, Painting, Roofing, etc.
  • California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) Registration information
 
This announcement is published in newspapers of general circulation and sent to various trade journals for publication as a requirement of the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Procedures to establish and maintain a list of qualified contractors per the applicable sections of the Public Contract Code.

Every 5 years the District will self perform a needs assessment to determine the changes, if necessary, for the long term planning of deferred and preventative maintenance projects.  This process also helps support the work being accomplished under Measure D Priorities.
