Dear Pacific Grove Unified School District Families, Staff, and Community,
It is with a great deal of enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility that I assume the role as your new Superintendent of Pacific Grove School District. I am committed to serving this vibrant and collaborative community along with the holistic development of our students by nurturing their academic growth and ensuring their overall well-being. PGUSD has a long history of excellence and innovation, and I look forward to building on those successes.
In addition to the robust educational program, it was the level of community involvement that drew me to this district. I witnessed this sense of pride as I underwent the interview process and have experienced it firsthand over the past few days as staff, parents, students, family members, and residents alike have welcomed me warmly, making me feel instantly part of the PG family.
I firmly believe in the power of education to transform lives and empower individuals to reach their fullest potential. However, I also believe that no significant learning can occur without, first, the establishment of significant relationships. This starts with building a culture to which all students feel a strong sense of connection and belonging and in which they can thrive.
It is for these reasons that I am eager to begin building meaningful connections with all of you in the coming weeks and months. I look forward to personally meeting all of you at upcoming meetings, events, community gatherings, and as part of what I refer to as my “Listen and Learn Tours.” I am especially looking forward to finding out more about what makes PGUSD such a special place, hearing about any areas of potential growth, and, more importantly, how I can support each of you as we come together to ensure the continued success of all students.
I express my deepest gratitude for entrusting me with this important role. Through our combined efforts and work, I know we can make a profound and lasting impact on the lives of our students. We truly have so much to look forward to.
Linda Adamson, Ed.D
